What is paint correction?
Over time, paint collects fine scratches from washing, drying and everyday contact. These show up as swirl marks and a dull, hazy look, especially in direct sun. Paint correction is the process of levelling the clear coat with machine polishing so those imperfections are removed rather than hidden.
A wax or a filler can mask marks for a while. Correction removes them, which is why the improvement is so noticeable and why it is the best foundation for a ceramic coating.

Enhancement or full correction
Paint enhancement
A lighter polishing process that improves gloss and clarity and removes much of the light swirling. A good choice for cars in decent condition.
Full correction
A more thorough, multi-step process for paint with heavier swirls and defects. It takes longer and delivers the biggest transformation.

What correction can and cannot do
Polishing removes a very thin layer of clear coat, so it can fix swirl marks, haze, water spots and light scratches. It cannot fix scratches that go through the clear coat, rock chips, peeling or failed paint. We assess the paint before we start and tell you what is realistic for your vehicle.

Paint correction questions
Will paint correction remove every scratch?
It removes swirl marks, haze and light scratches that sit in the clear coat. Deeper scratches that go through the clear coat can often be improved but not fully removed. We will be upfront about what is possible.
How long does it take?
A paint enhancement can take most of a day. Full correction usually takes longer, sometimes more than one day, depending on the size of the vehicle and the condition of the paint.
Is it the same as waxing?
No. Wax sits on top of the paint and can hide marks temporarily. Correction removes the imperfections themselves, and protection like a sealant or coating is applied afterwards.
Should I get a ceramic coating afterwards?
It is a good pairing. Correction makes the paint look its best and a coating helps keep it that way.
